The owners (and their lovely dog, Angus) were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the bed was heavenly and the location was superb. Highly recommend!!!

Owners very welcoming. Restaurant very comfortable; linen napkins; jug of water on the table without having to ask for it; sensible wine list prices; very charming waitress who obviously very keen to be of service; excellent food. Breakfast staff were welcoming; tables were well laid; buffet breakfast was excellent - hot, well laid out and most enjoyable. Just as in the restaurant the night before, all the staff that we encountered were charming and friendly.

The beds were really comfortable and it was a beautiful sea view from the window. Great place to stay if your visiting Cornwall and want a quiet place to unwind.
The spiders in the pool " they swam faster with their 8 legs".

Staff were excellent and service high class. Total quality for a price I paid elsewhere and got trash.

Buffet breakfast excellent as was the restaurant for dinner. Public areas pleasant and comfortable.
Room was basic in the extreme, nowhere to rest a suitcase, only one chair in a double room, nowhere to air or hang towels, nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom and generally tired and in need of refurbishment.

Staff were very friendly, food was excellent. Room was rather small, I believe that larger rooms are available. The weather spoilt our stay, but this is not the fault of the hotel proprietors of course.

Being able to take long walks in the countryside
The menu was not varied enough. The room was very small and the furniture too big and the en-suites on the ground floor were terrible,

It was very much family run and did not suffer from the sameness of many chains
I hate duvets; whenb will hotels rediscover sheets and blankets, so that temperature can be adjusted without either freesing or boiling in bed?

The location is fine if you want to stay in Tintagel - but don't stay in Tintagel - not much there except the remains of the Castle. Of the three towns along the coastal path Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac - the other two are much nicer. Of course, Port Isaac is the most gorgeous. I really didn't like this hotel either - not much good to say about it except that it had a nice dining room and the breakfasts were well done.
Ridiculously tiny room and impossibly small bathroom, hotel is a bit run- down, family run by a bunch of eccentrics that let their pony sized dog sleep everywhere - including all the furniture - so be careful where you sit - you'll end up with fur all over your clothes.

The beds were clean and comfortable, the room was warm, and the buffet breakfast was magnificent, I have never seen so much choice. Sensible breakfast times - 8am to 9-30am. Good tea and coffee facilities in room. The hotel is very well located being close to many interesting places and a very scenic coast. There is plenty of parking space.
The room was quite small and there were some cobwebby corners. On our last night there was someone in the room next to us and we could hear every sound - even the clicking off of their bedside light. When they switched on their bathroom light and the fan came on it was very loud and vibrated through our room so we couldn't sleep until they did.
